In all of the years we have been married, we’ve never decorated for Halloween. We’ve either been living in rentals, didn’t have the disposable income, or both. We’ve also never lived anywhere with a lot of trick-or-treaters.
This year we are in our own house, and we’ve been told to expect up to 1,000 kids looking for candy. Therefore, we have decided to spend some money on outdoor decorations and 2,000 pieces of candy. Hobbes says he isn’t worried about us having too much candy, because any that is left over he’ll eat.
I sure hope we can give it all away. With that much sugar, he would be bouncing around the house like a hummingbird.
