The painters got the 99% of the body color applied but ran out of time to start on the accents. There is also quite a bit of overspray and touchup still to go. I was present for a discussion between one of the supervisors and a lead painter about how much longer he thought it might take. The reply was somewhere between another day to a day and a half. Since most of the remaining areas will have to be brushed, I’m leaning toward the longer end of the estimate.
The timeframe has never been a problem for us. We just want an attractive paint job that is going to last. We are pleased with it so far and are excited to see the final result.
Everyone will take a break for Father’s Day and be back at it on Monday.
