Additional painters have shifted to priming. They have also started to caulk. The surprising part is that they are doing all of this by hand. It was explained to me that the primer has to go on thick in order to provide a good base, so brushes are used. Once they shift to the actual paint it will be sprayed on. As far as the caulking goes, I’m truly impressed at how skilled they are.
I am caulking the panel mouldings in the living room and it is taking me forever. They are able to cover huge areas in what feels like no time at all.
Something that surprised me is that they are caulking after priming. I don’t know why, but I assumed it would be the other way around. I need to research why that would be the case and keep it mind for my own projects.
