Due to the overwhelming popularity of “What’s on My Floor?” the producers have created a spin-off called, “What’s in My House?” Without further ado, LET’S PLAY THE GAME!
What’s in My House? Depending on where you live it is called a Sphinx Moth, Hawk Moth, or Hummingbird Moth. One of its unique features is the ability to fly and hover like a hummingbird. They are also large enough to be mistaken for hummingbirds in gardens. The one in our house is around 2.5 in x 2.5 in with its wings tucked like that. They can grow to be almost twice that size.
Similar to bees and butterflies they are pollinators but only with specific types of plants. Fast (up to 30 MPH) and strong fliers, scientists have been able to trace their pollen transfer pattern to over 18 miles away as they travel their feeding route.
Until next time, that’s all from “What’s in My House?”
