Chelsea ordered an unframed banner from Oxford Pennant. After it arrived, she regretted not getting the framed version. As a dutiful husband, I felt the need to fix things for her.
First of all, I looked at the Oxford Pennant site to see what frames they offer. What caught my eye was how obscenely priced they were. It was an extra $160 on top of the cost of the banner.
I am sure they are made from some kind of old-growth wood only found in Tibet or otherwise have some kind of magical properties, but they look like they might come from Ikea. Hmmm.
Anyway, I visited Craig Frames and found the burl wood frame in the photo above. For the background, I ordered cane webbing from Amazon and cut it to size. All total the DIY solution was about half the cost of the old-growth magical one.
A win for the pocketbook, a win for being a good husband. Everyone is happy.
